Points VS. Visit Campaigns

Many times I get asked what is the difference between a Points based campaign vs. a visit based campaign. Below is a quick overview of the different camaigns that Sundrop Mobile offers.
A Visit based campaign
What is it? In its simplest form is a punch card style program.A consumer is reward visting so many times.
How does it work.? Each time a customer comes in they give their mobile number and we track each visit. They are given status updates each time they come in. When the goal is reached (ex Visit 10 times and get a free Drink) the consumer will be texted the reward.
A Points based progam
What is it? It works by rewarding the consumer for money they spend. Spend $30 and get a free Yogurt is an example.
How does it work? Each time customer comes in they provide their mobile number to the cashier.Customers are then given status updates each visit via SMS Text. This method is only avaialbe when your loyalty program is integrated in with your program. A points based program rewards customers for value spent vs. and attendance record.
